New exhibition in Iserlohn: "God, this colorfulness!"

In "Looking Ahead" the works of six artists from five countries will be exhibited in the Parktheater Iserlohn. The works have one thing in common.

Jutta Bengelsträter-Ewest waves a few sheets of paper and then can't stop raving: "God, this colourfulness," she says at one point. "Your heart opens when you get involved with the pictures."

What the pictures have in common is their penchant for colour. The reason for so much praise and cheerfulness: Under the title "Looking Ahead", the gallerist couple Jutta Bengelsträter-Ewest and Werner A. Ewest have brought together six artists from five countries who deliver very different and yet matching works on the subject. What the pictures have in common is their penchant for colour. And Bengelsträter-Ewest is holding the aforementioned paper in his hands because her husband had to cancel the vernissage in the ParktheaterIserlohn and thus the introduction at short notice due to illness. "Now that's actually a terrible task," she says, which then succeeds fluently because of the audible euphoria about the artists' works.

Katarzyna Cudnik (Poland), Isa Dahl (Germany), Jenny Day (USA), Fleur Deakin (GB/Iserlohn), Florian Fausch (Switzerland) and Stephan Geisler (Germany) are the names of the artists, apart from Dahl and Day they are on Sunday everyone at the vernissage - and also part of a joint tour with the guests in order to "explore the pictures together", as theater boss Niels Gamm announces this special way of opening an exhibition. The pictures will now be on display in the theater until June 18th
