A New Orleans artist used his talents to spread hope during the coronavirus pandemic. Jonathan Ferrara started his communitywide hope photo project to inspire people battling coronavirus.
Armed with the street sign emblazoned with the word hope, Ferrara has captured photographs of iconic New Orleanians offering hope to others while holding the sign. His project recently included a photograph of Trichelle McDanile, a COVID-19 patient who was hospitalized at Touro for 72 days and had a baby while gravely ill.
