One of the most dramatic pieces is Margaret Evangeline's square of metal pocked with bullet holes. The Louisiana-born, New York-based artist has covered the metal with a gold metallic paint that could be used on a shiny car. Ms. Evangeline says she wanted to explore the implications of force, including "emotional force, metaphysical force, historical force."
